Red Kite International works with small and medium sized businesses to develop and implement international market strategies through a process of research, analysis and the utilisation of in-country expertise. We help companies enter new markets and strengthen their position in domestic markets, using our expertise and experience to minimise risk and initial investment requirements. Red Kite can provide turnkey solutions and manage the complete process or undertake responsibility for the initial stages of the project, leaving implementation to you.

Who We Are

 

John N. McCaffrey, Director

John McCaffrey has over 25 years experience as a senior executive, managing major brands and leading senior teams across a wide range of business sectors. His management experience includes a strong knowledge of all key business processes, including new product development and change management, with experience working in both domestic and international markets.

He was a board director of VNU Business Publications UK for 10 years before leaving to earn an MBA at Henley Management College. He has also studied at INSEAD, taking the residential Advanced Management Programme. John has worked as a Group Publishing Director for Miller Freeman undertaking the successful merger of three businesses. As the Regional Director (EMEA & India) for CMP Media he spearheaded international business development, establishing new and profitable business ventures.

John has been a member of multicultural project teams in France and Russia, and a management consultant and trainer for companies around the world.

Michael J. Whalen, Director

Michael Whalen has over 30 years management experience in a variety of industries. He has worked in consumer packaged goods, high-tech, marketing services, advertising and publishing.

In the technology sphere, Michael managed marketing, sales and media for Tech Data Corporation, Silicon Valley hardware vendors and most recently, CMP Media (now part of United Business Media), with a specialty in channel activities and international business development.

In CPG, Michael Whalen was responsible for brand management, new product launches, channel and consumer advertising for a number of organisations. He has conducted in-country management workshops, global training programmes and speaks at industry events.
Michael holds an MBA from Case Western Reserve University and is a member of the American Marketing Association.  He is a former member of American Business Media where he also served as chairman of the International Committee.
